Sony Music UK teams up with Buzz Jam for three-day hackathon
A trio of Sony Music UK’s most innovative new artists are set to take part in Buzz Jam 2016.
Over three days in September, a group of musical artists and coders will come together at Red Bull Studios to create new instruments and give a unique showcase of music technology at its most collaborative.
Teams of computer coders will be joined by RCA’s soul experimentalist Tiggs Da Author, Columbia-signed electronic collective Nimmo and Relentless Records’ multi-instrumentalist Tom Walker in their quest to develop five original musical instruments.
Previous Buzz Jam events have seen the creation of wearable drum tech kits and chiptune keytars fashioned from Game Boys, Guitar Hero necks and wireless midi keyboards.
Buzz Jam takes place from September 16th-18th at Red Bull Studios, London SE1, in partnership with Sony Music UK, Young Guns Network, We Make Awesome Sh and Weller Media Agency.
