Damaris Rex-Taylor Promoted to Managing Director at RCA Records UK
Sony Music UK has announced the promotion of Damaris Rex-Taylor to Managing Director at RCA Records UK.
Damaris has worked across the music industry in both independent and major labels as well as in media and artist management. She has overseen the success of many artists throughout her career at Chrysalis, Parlophone, Disturbing London and all three global record companies.
With a passion for developing British artists, Damaris joined RCA UK in 2019 as Director of Marketing, before being promoted to General Manager in 2021. Since joining the label she has been the driving force behind operational, marketing and promotional strategy and growth, and has spearheaded successful campaigns for artists including Tyla, Travis Scott, Cat Burns, Miley Cyrus, and one of RCA’s newest signings, Myles Smith.
Damaris is co-chair and a founding member of Sony Music UK’s Social Justice Fund and has also recently completed a postgraduate degree in Strategy and Innovation at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
