Bruce Springsteen scores his eleventh No.1 album with ‘Western Stars’
Bruce Springsteen’s Western Stars has debuted at the top of the UK album chart, marking his eleventh No.1 album.
The 13-track release is Springsteen’s first new studio record in five years. Produced by Springsteen and Ron Aniello, the album draws inspiration in part from the Southern California pop records of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. Western Stars features music from more than 20 players, including Patti Scialfa, Jon Brion, David Sancious, Charlie Giordano, and Soozie Tyrell.
Bruce Springsteen’s recording career spans over 40 years, beginning with 1973’s Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ. He has received a host of awards including twenty Grammys, an Oscar and a Tony, and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
