Alicia Keys releases new album ‘ALICIA’
Alicia Keys has released her seventh studio album, ALICIA, via RCA Records.
Showcasing the many sides of Alicia, the 15-track record features collaborations with artists including Jill Scott, Khalid, Miguel, Snoh Aalegra, Tierra Whack, Sampha and Diamond Platinumz.
“This album has such a special energy! It embodies everything I love about music and art at this time in my life,” Keys said. “I’m so excited to connect with people from all over the world with these sounds, lyrics and melodies. I called this album ALICIA because it’s the most ‘me’ I’ve ever felt while in the studio. I got comfortable with all my different sides while creating it. I hope everyone who listens can vibe along as the truest version of themselves.”
Fans will get a chance to watch Keys premiere live performances of the new songs through American Express’s UNSTAGED series tonight (September 18th) at 11pm BST. Described by Keys as “a virtual, emotional, sonic wonderland”, the event will be streamed live on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and TIDAL. Find out more at amexunstagedalicia.com.
In the US, Keys celebrated the album’s release by performing new single ‘Love Looks Better’ live on Good Morning America as part of a concert dedicated to its socially-distanced audience of essential workers. Keys will also be doing a week-long residency on The Late Late Show with James Corden, performing on the show every night from September 21st–24th.
Keys plans to bring the album to life in the summer of 2021, performing rescheduled dates of her upcoming world tour including a show at London’s The O2. The tour was originally scheduled for summer 2020, before the global pandemic lead to a pause on live music gatherings. For more information on tickets and dates, please visit AliciaKeys.com.
