Sam Fischer was born outside of Sydney in 1991 and grew up on a farm in the town of Grose Vale, just outside Sydney, Australia. His musical life began at age three when he started playing violin after being inspired by seeing a performance by Queenie.
In 2018, inspired by his surroundings, Fischer penned the tune This City, a heartfelt ode to loneliness in an urban jungle. The three-minute homesick ballad turned international heads, becoming a viral sensation on TikTok, amassing over 1 billion global views.
