Elvis Presley – ‘Christmas with Elvis and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’
RCA Records and Legacy Recordings are celebrating the festive season with the release of Elvis Presley’s Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Produced by Nick Patrick and Don Reedman and recorded at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios, Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra combines the legend’s best-loved yuletide performances with new arrangements performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra follows the phenomenal worldwide success of 2015’s If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and 2016’s The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Both albums hit the No. 1 spot in the UK charts, making Elvis – with 13 chart-toppers – the most successful solo artist in UK chart history.
Priscilla Presley, executive producer of Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, says, “I hope you’ll enjoy this new Christmas album. The songs chosen were songs that Elvis was particularly fond of, and it seemed quite fitting to have the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra once again accompanying him at this very special time of year. I’m positive he would be smiling if this opportunity came up in his lifetime and that this album would definitely be in the making.”
In addition to the album, a brand new exhibition entitled ‘Elvis on Tour’ is taking place at The O2 in London, showcasing more than 200 artefacts from the Graceland archives. Tickets are available from elvisontourexhibition.com
Elvis Presley is the top-selling solo artist of all time, having sold more than one billion records worldwide.
