Sony Music artists perform for Global Citizen’s ‘One World: Together At Home’ broadcast special
A host of Sony Music artists participated in Global Citizen’s ‘One World: Together At Home’ broadcast and digital special over the weekend, with performers including Little Mix, Rag’n’Bone Man, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Lang Lang, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, Maren Morris, Usher, Kesha, Black Coffee and Delilah Montagu.
Held in celebration and support of healthcare workers, the event was livestreamed globally on 18th April. In the UK, exclusive performances from Little Mix and Rag’n’Bone Man were broadcast on BBC One on 19th April, alongside highlights from the US livestream.
Little Mix performed a stunning acoustic version of their hit ‘Touch’, accompanied by a message expressing their gratitude to NHS staff and frontline workers.
Rag’n’Bone Man delivered a beautiful cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’’, which was also dedicated to frontline workers.
‘One World: Together At Home’ drives private sector leaders to support the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, powered by the UN Foundation. To date, the concert has raised over $127 million.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from the artist community to make ‘One World: Together At Home’ a moment of global unity,” said Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen. “Our hope for the special is that everyone will come away believing that we, as a shared humanity, can emerge from this moment forever grateful for the work of doctors, nurses, teachers, grocery store workers, and all those who are the backbone of our communities.”
